Eggnog Drinks

Eggnog is one of the most popular drinks to sip on during the holiday season so here are some great eggnog recipes to make your own homemade eggnog to enjoy with friends and family. We have also included a number of variations if you wish to get a bit creative or if you are tired of the same old eggnog and rum drink that everyone seems to offer.

Homemade Eggnog Recipe

Ingredient you will need
1 Cup Sugar
12 Egg Yolk
4 Cups Whole Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
8 oz. Brandy
4 oz. Gold Rum
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 tablespoon ground Nutmeg

Variations to the Homemade Eggnog Drink

Apricot Eggnog
Omit the brandy and add 8 oz. of apricot brandy along with the rum, vanilla and nutmeg.

Banana Eggnog
Omit the rum and add 4 oz. of crème de banane along with the brandy.

Cherry Eggnog
Omit the brandy and add 8 oz. of cherry brandy along with the rum.

Coconut Eggnog
Instead of 4 Cups of whole milk only use 2 cups. Add 2 cups of coconut milk along with the remaining whole milk.

Jamaican Eggnog
Omit the 4 oz of gold rum. Add in 4 oz of dark rum along with the brandy.

Spiced Eggnog
Omit the gold rum. Add 4 oz spiced rum, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice, and 1/4 teaspoon ground mace along with the vanilla and nutmeg.

More Eggnog Drinks

If making homemade eggnog isn't your thing and you rather just buy eggnog at the grocery store here are some eggnog drinks.

Eggnog Martini
1 part Kahlua
1 part Whiskey
4 parts Eggnog

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the Kahlua, Whiskey and eggnog. Shake until chilled and pour into a martini glass. Add a dash of nutmeg on top.

Eggnog - Irish Recipe
1 Quart Eggnog
6 oz. Dark Rum
6 oz. Irish Cream
8 oz. Whipped Cream

Combine in large punch bowl and serve. Top each serving with nutmeg.

Nashville Eggnog
3 oz. Rum
3 oz. Brandy
6 oz. Bourbon
32 oz. Eggnog

Combine in large punch bowl and serve. Top each serving with nutmeg.

½ oz. Creme de cacao
4 oz. eggnog
