How beer soap is made:
Beer soap is 100% cold process soap. What is cold process soap? Cold process soap is made with sodium hydroxide, water (or in our case beer), and a blend of oils and butters. They are mixed together and left for a period of 24-48 hours in a mold. During this time the sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils, turning the oils into soap and glycerin. This process is called Saponification, which literally means soap making. The root word "sapo" is Latin for soap.
